I Did Something Good Today is incredibly proud to announce our 2020 Volunteer of the Year, Luis Rodriguez!

Luis has been with us since April 24, 2020, volunteering his precious time on the organization’s GoldenTALK Chat Line after expressing a sincere concern for the issue of social isolation and lost connections with the senior population. His adornment for the senior community was exemplified in his close relationship with his own Grandmother.

Since his start in April, he’s logged in an astounding 450+ hours and has on occasion worked multiple shifts in one day to speak with seniors in our English and Spanish queues. His bilingual fluency allowed I Did Something Good Today to reach Spanish-speaking seniors and make an even broader impact.

In Luis’s dedication to volunteer work, he’s made himself available to fellow volunteers, contributing to the on-boarding and training of new recruits, as well as assisting with callbacks and delivery requests.

Our organization is incredibly grateful to have such a compassionate member like Luis and honored that he’s chosen to donate his time to help bring about awareness and personal connection to the senior community.

Congratulations Luis. This honor is well-deserved!
